Word on the street is that Trader Joe Lieberman, is angling for a speaking slot at the GOP convention. Here. If chosen to speak, Joe Blow will be a shining example of McCain’s ability to and reputation for crossing party lines. Only problem is, what party is Joe Lieberman a member of? Does McCain really have to walk very far to cross line that puts him smack in the middle of LieberLand? Dont’ think so.
Last time I checked Joe had his ass handed to him in the Connecticutt Democratic primary. Not bitter about receiving his walking papers from the folks, Joe signed up to run anyway. This is sort of like being fired by your boss and then showing up to work anyway. You have to hand the man some credit for tenacity.
Side note, in high school one of my friends, lets call him “Tim”, worked at KFC. Tim enjoyed firing up a bowl of Mary J. before work. One night, for reasons related to his stonedness and too detailed to go into here, “Tim” was fire by the manager. “Tim” turned to the manager and said “you can’t fire me dude!” The manager explained “I can fire you, I’m the manager.” “Tim” (totally stoned remember) replied “no you can’t dude because I don’t work for you, I work for the Colonel!” Needless to say the manager had to resort to calling the police and having “Tim” dragged out of the KFC.
“Tim” is not that different from “Joe”. Questions is though, who does Joe work for? It damn sure ain’t Colonel Sanders. Oh one other difference is that “Tim” does have integrity.
But who is Joe Lieberman and what does he stand for. My fellow PolitiPornsters, Joe is merely a one trick pony. His only issue is Iraq and not how it relates to American safety or stability in the Middle East, but rather how a stable Iraq is beneficial to Israel. That’s it in a nutshell. Joe is more of a Neo-Con than William Kristol, Paul Wolfowitz, and Bush all rolled up into one. Now some may claim that my statement here is somehow anti-Semitic but believe me, nothing could be further from the truth. If anything, I’m pro-Semite. I believe the inalienable rights of all Semites, even the Palestinians. I just don’t believe that we, I’m talking America here, should lend aid unconditionally to any country or unconditionally support any country or have a relationship with any country that is not somehow beneficial for us and this limitation to my foreign policy includes Israel.
Besides his one trick, Joe is like many of his political colleagues, he has no other skills to rely upon and could not imagine having to make an honest living outside of politics. That’s why he stays. He’s not that different from the Clintons in that respect. But to cash it all in at the GOP convention.
We all remember the Democratic clown at the last GOP nominating convention. Oh you don’t? Well here he is:

Zell “Bunky the Clown” Miller
Yep, Zell went way over the edge and at one point challenged Chris Mathews of MSNBC to a duel! That’s old school folks!
So what are we to expect from Benedict Lieberman if he speaks at the convention? It’s going to be heavy on the Iraq stuff with a generous serving of protection of Israel. Joe doesn’t know the economy and couldn’t about it to be honest. If things go in the shitter, he’ll leave his country just like he left is party.
Before he speaks though, one word of caution, you can’t spell “Lieberman” without “lie”.

Lieberman back from the dead. IMO should I care? or is this guy worthy?
mccain will do zero for traitor joe on israel
except keep the war going and have more of our military killed and wounded
I truly despise Lieberman. I know that comment contributes absolutely nothing of value to this thread, but any time I sense a politicians highest calling is stroking their… er… ego… I kind of start to despise them.
Shush your feelings here are justified. Lieberman is merely a man fueled by (wait for it) BITTERNESS. Everyday he wakes up and mixes his Metamucil with a big ole glass of bitterness. All of this because the Democrats in his home state showed him the door. He instead believed that his seat in the Senate was a birthright of sorts. Nonetheless, they showed him the door because of his one track mind, plain and simple.
