1955-2008
Tony Snow, former press secretary, FOX Analyst, and conservative talk radio host has succumb to colon cancer. Mr. Snow was 53.
I can honestly say that I really liked Tony Snow despite our political differences. I enjoyed listening to his weekend talk radio show from time to time. One story he told gave me great amount of respect for the man.
He was talking about the importance of having your children learn to play an instrument. Some how the conversation turned to how busy he was and how he missed spending time with his children. He then went on about how many parents are faced with this guilt and he offered a wonderful suggestion. Mr. Snow suggested that you make solid and constructive plans to be with child. In his example, he had signed up for guitar lesson with his son. It was by no means novel, but I just thought it was a wonderful idea.
Rest in peace, Mr. Snow.

Oh, wow. Why does it seem like some of our best and brightest are leaving us recently? He was so YOUNG.
Hayden you are correct. Reminds me of a song….
“Only the good dye young”.
Of course “young” is a relative term. I’m nearly 54 so by some standards I could go either way.
Tony Snow was a great guy on all levels.
No comment on the cover of the NEW YORKER magazine????
The New Yorker’s cover is perhaps the most blatant cry for help or attention since Brittany Spears cut all of her hair off. You’ll note from my archive, I didn’t comment on Bald Brittany either.
I haven’t seen the New Yorker cover and here is why.
Neither have I been crawling through the sewer, but I’m pretty dang sure it’s a place I would rather not be.
Normally, I do not stoop to looking at anything related to the NEW YORKER, however, there was so much whining by the Obama camp that I had to look. I think that PolitiPornster is right, it is a desperate cry for help as nobody is reading that rag anymore!
