Well the PolitiPornster is back. I took some time off after a hectic election year and quite frankly, I haven’t been in much of mood to write. Wow, has everything gone in the shitter! Everyday some store we’ve grown accustomed to closes. I’m starting to receive a steady stream of emails at work from former colleagues asking if my office is hiring. Truth be told, I’m desperate trying to keep myself busy at work what with the assignments slowing down to a freakin’ trickle.
Of all the crap going on in the economy, we’ve got one malcontent, who has taken it upon himself to wish, hope and pray that the President Obama fails in his attempts to right this ship. You know of whom I write. That’s right Flush Windbag.
Judging from Boss Hog Limbaugh’s largess, he hasn’t messed a meal in awhile and I doubt an economic meltdown would affect him as it would you or I. Thus, Rush can wish for the worst. But I am still amazed by the sentiment expressed by King of Talk Radio. Doesn’t he get it? I think he does but it’s likely he just pops a couple Oxycontin into his pie-hole and all his troubles go away. Unfortunately for the rest of us, Oxycontin is that readily accessible and we’re not sitting on the mountain of cash that supports the fat ass of El Rushbo.
When Limbaugh says he wants Obama to fail, he really means that he wants us all to suffer. It’s that simple. He can’t empathize with us, how could he? He could offer up a solution. Afterall, he claims to want to debate the President. I’d assume that in such a debate, he wouldn’t merely go on attacking Obama’s plans. So Rush (Like he reads!), what is your solution? Tax-cuts I’ll bet. Didn’t we just go through 8 years where tax-cuts were the solution to every crisis.
As I recall, we were attacked on 9/11 which led to tax cuts. We invaded Iraq, which led to more tax cuts. Some dude on a deserted farted and Bush promised tax cuts. So by the logic of Rush and Party of Tired Ideas, we should be swimming in dough from all those tax cuts. Well, where is my damn swimming pool filled with tax cut money? Until the GOP can get off the tax cut mantra, people are not going to take them seriously.
In my lifetime, I’ve lived through 4 Republican administrations. With the exception of Reagan, each Republican presidency has been followed by a devastating recession. Did you folks forget the years that followed W’s daddy’s administration? I sure as hell do and they were eerily similar to what is going on now, except we’re calling lay-offs what they really are “lay-offs” instead the early 90’s euphemism “down-sizing”. Here we go again with a Democratic President responsible for cleaning up the mess of ruinous and irresponsible Republican presidency.
So Rush calls for failure, whilst chewing on a Cuban cigar and admiring his own man tits. At least Nero was man enough to play a violin.

I can’t even talk rationally about Rush Limbaugh (or Ann Coulter for that matter). He is a hate monger and anyone who doesn’t believe exactly what he does is an “enemy” and “unAmerican”.
It bothers me to no end that he is so influential in the Republican party. Do they not know about George Will or Peggy Noonan?
While I don’t agree with the bailout strategy (though at least Obama is requiring some sort of oversight, unlike the no-strings-attached money from Bush) I HOPE TO HIGH HEAVEN THAT IT WILL WORK. Even though I think it is a horrible idea and I suspect it will make things worse.
Well I’ll be jigged, I thought we had closed up shop. It got a little difficult once the Republicans collapsed. While I hope Obama suceeds; I also want to give two thumbs up (he doesn’t hear very well) to big Rush. Take the helm captain, the RNC is all yours.
